Pictures of Close Planetary Alignments
These pictures/Images are generally taken by mounting my Nikon film Camera piggy back on my LX 200.  However, I have also taken pictures using my barn door camera mount.  These thumbnail pictures are large so you can see the alignments.    They will link you to a larger and higher resolution picture.  These larger pictures may take over a minute to download.  You can also see a list of close planetary alignments at this page.  Use your browsers back button to come back here.

This is a picture of a close alignment of Venus, Jupiter, Saturn and the Moon in November 1980.  Click here or the picture to see more pictures.  The picture is a 45 second unguided exposure taken with my Nikon Camera and a 28 mm lens.
This picture is of a close alignment in April 2002.  You can see Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn and the bright star Alderbaran.  Click here or the picture for a larger picture that also shows Orion's belt.  The picture is a 60 second unguided exposure taken with my Nikon Camera and a 28 mm lens.
