Richards Astro Data 
From time to time I calculate the occurrences of various astronomical events.  The links on this page will download the result of these calculations.   Unless stated otherwise, the calculations are performed using low precision routines, so don't expect high accuracy in the predicted times.  The accuracy is good enough to plan a viewing/imagining session, but not good enough for Astrometry.   The copyright restrictions listed on my home page apply.

The data is provided as comma separated variables and the files have been compressed using the Winzip file compression utility.  If you do not have a way to decompress the files, you can download an evaluation copy of Winzip


Conjunctions
A list of close planetary conjunction out to 2050 (10 kb).
Galaxies A list of galaxies magnitude 14 and brighter (126 kb).
Globulars A list of bright globular clusters (6 kb).
Jupiter's Moon A list of interesting events (About 12,000 Shadows, Transits, Eclipses, GRS Transits and Max East/West Elongations) for 2002 through 2004 (211 kb).
Mars Min Distance
Dates when Mars will be the closest to Earth (2 kb).
Mars Sytris Major
Dates and times when the Martian feature Sytris Major will be near the center of the planet (2 kb).
Moon Separations
Dates and times when the Moon will be close to another Solar System Planet out to 2010 (25 kb)
Moon Separations-Big
Dates and times when the Moon will be close to another Solar System Planet out to 2100 (220 kb)
Venus Event
Dates and times of Venus events (Moon Separations, Max Brightness, etc.) (48 kb)
